Company History

RFG was founded by R.F. "Skip" Gladwin III in the early 1980s. Skip began his building career working alongside his father at Gladwin - Bassett, Inc., after graduating with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Florida. Skip worked for Gladwin-Basset for a number of years, working his way up to general manager before starting his own company, RFG, to build high-end homes on Jupiter Island.

Skip had a passion for building magnificent homes but also for building relationships with his clients. These passions, for excellence in construction and building lasting relationships, were the catalyst that allowed RFG to become one of the leading construction companies on Jupiter Island. RFG has had the privilege of building, renovating, and maintaining many homes on the island for the past 45+ years.

In 2015, after guiding RFG for more than 30 years, Skip retired and Lint Harrell took over leadership of the company. Lint received a bachelor's degree from University of Florida's M.E. Rinker School of Construction Management. He has worked on Palm Beach and Jupiter Island for a number of high-end home builders, including as a project manager for RFG on a number of large home projects in the early 1990s. Lint was "cut from the same cloth" as Skip and continued building and renovating homes with the same vision and values that the company was founded on. 

Lint retired from RFG in 2025, and his son, Sean Harrell, was given leadership of RFG. Sean followed in his father's footsteps and received a bachelor's in construction management at the University of Florida before coming to work full time for RFG in 2013. Sean prides himself in doing the job right the first time and strives for excellence in all areas of home building and client relations.
